FRIDAY MORNING. I was in a bus en route to a school field trip to Batangas, having a pleasant chat with my friend Jamie when my Mom called me up, telling me about having 4 pictures up in a half page somewhere. I could barely understand it cause signal was bad – we were going into a foresty patch of land. But a few minutes later, I found out that my Inquirer feature finally came out last Friday!! I didn’t have access to a newsstand + I had the Indie Fridays gig right after the trip so I couldn’t really read the article until I got home, but being in the newspaper is so freakishly overwhelming!!! People were texting me and tagging me on Facebook congratulating me and all. Apparently, there are still people who read newspapers every day from cover to cover
)
When my friend saw the pictures, my friend commented: It lacks glitter and trinkets. I agree haha! I didn’t get to wear my own clothes, (as you can probably tell with the heel height. I don’t really own anything as tall as the ones I’m wearing!) but instead they styled me and helped me get all dolled up in Sassa Jimenez (!!!) and I can’t help but feel princess-like because the clothes were just sooo pretty! I felt like a red velvet cake in the first outfit. THE TUTU SKIRT was so frothy and full, it almost looks good enough to bite from. Haha! The clothes and the styling felt like a nice change from my usual shortsy pantsy doll headsy aesthetic.
The heels posed a great difficulty though. I could barely stand up and pose correctly because I was trying my best to balance on the floor. I swear to God, I was literally grasping my guitar for dear life, making it my makeshift cane / saklay to help me balance better
) And whenever I would walk around the room to get something, I was almost dragging my feet because I reaaaally couldn’t walk in them. It was a bit embarrassing but the stylist was really understanding, for which I am glad!
Anyway, please check the whole article out by either zooming in to the photo, or clicking THIS LINK for an online version of the article
My thanks go out to the Inquirer team for letting me grace your prestigious pages.
AND OF COURSE, to the awesome photographer who took these bomb photos – no less than BJ Pascual! Huhu I can now rest happily, knowing that I have been photographed by the BJ Pascual at least once in my lifetime.
HUZZAH!

WOW! Congratulations
You look stunning in all the photos. And you look good with heels !
haha! wow, you’re weaaring high heels! <3
Hi Reese! Congratulations for your newspaper feature! I really think you deserve that page because your style is one of a kind. not to mention your great contribution in local music. Anyway, I think your friend is right. Your ensembles really lack the distinctive Reese Lansangan style with eccentric accessories and neon brights. But the tutu makes up for it! It’s so fluffy! And your second ensemble is a breather. It’s a fresh look from you. Anyway, it’s nice seeing your teal hair again, I just really miss them! And a big congratulations for being photographed by THE Bj Pascual. <3
