I got a pleasant surprise in the mail today. … It’ssssssssssssss a Candy Kit!!!!!

To those who don’t know, I love anything and everyyyything that comes in envelopes (plus points if it’s string bound, too). So I quickly grabbed this package as soon as I saw it in our living room bench and clutched it to my chest. How thoughtful of Candy and the Summit team to give these kits out! Made my day!

I don’t get to buy Candy anymore (my sister does) but as soon as I saw it in my envelope, immediately opened the newest issue and not-so-surprisingly found that I still enjoyed reading through the content. I couldn’t help noticing how much the spreads drastically improved as well (GAH, MY GRAPHIC DESIGN ROOTS ARE SHOWING!). The photography is refreshing and interesting, and they seem to have taken the time to arrange the photo sets according to theme. Headline fonts were better (hi Didot) and text much organized; all in all, a much much improved Candy for all of you guys! (not that it needed improvement in the first place)

ANYWAY. Candy Magazine was ever so flipping kind to have chosen me as one of the bloggers featured in their Candy Style Guide (!!!!) And alongside super influential & big-named bloggers such as Camille Co, Laureen Uy, Kryz Uy, Patricia Prieto, etc etc etc. I feel so (literally and figuratively) tiny!

AND LOOK, MY NAME WAS EVEN ON THE OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE. MY NAME YOU GUYS. ON A PRESS RELEASE. I am so overwhelmed. Someone put out a fan and hold me.

Make sure you check the book out, it’s really, really useful! The layout is simple and straightforward. I suggest you guys follow all the style tips inside and take one page of it per day and you’ll basically be all set for half a year. Really.

Thank you Candy Magazine, for believing that I am worthy enough to grace your glossy, well-read pages.
